"Pottery classes are important to me. I enjoy learning new skills and seeing all the great things that other people create. I also love the social aspect and meeting up with lovely people every week." - CCP member
Our classes are run by popular award winning local potter Clare Gage. Clare has a wealth of experience of teaching ceramics and brings her friendly and supportive teaching style to CCP.
We currently run 7 groups per week, each with no more than 10 people. Each session runs for a relaxed and enjoyable 2.5 hours. So if you want to focus quietly or enjoy a lively chat and wether you’d like to progress in a structured way or prefer finding your own path, there’s a space at CCP for you to enjoy your time with clay.
Alternatively, our one-off workshops give you a quick introduction to clay allowing you to complete a smaller project - usually in one session.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
*If the class time your are interested in is full, please contact us and we will put you on our waiting list. You'll be the first to know when spaces become available!
Current fundraising goals
Now that we are settled in, our members have asked that we save for some useful equipment. Currently we are focussing on raising £1000 towards:
A small slab roller will make it easier and quicker to produce sheets (slabs) of clay. Slabs are a basic building form which can be used for many different hand building projects including tiles, vessels and sculptural pieces.
A wall mounted extruder produces long sections of clay with different shape profiles. These can be used for functional building or for decorative elements such as tubes or fancy mug handles. A wall mounted extruder makes it easier to shape larger amounts of clay using the long lever (and gravity!)
If you would like to help us reach our goal please consider donating here or at the button below. We are a not for profit community interest company so you can be sure that your donations will go directly to where it's needed.
Thank you!
